BiographyHistory

'Megan Hess is an international fashion illustrator who works with some of the most prestigious fashion designers and luxury brands around the world, such as Chanel, Dior, Cartier, Montblanc and Tiffany and Co. In 2008 she created the cover art for the entire back catalogue for Sex and the City and was recruited to illustrate the first authorised book on US First Lady Michelle Obama, What Would Michelle Do.

'Her original pieces of art have varied in scale from the size of a postage stamp to the expanse of an entire building. Her work has appeared on the bottom of luxury swimming pools in Dubai and on the walls of some of the most coveted fashion houses around the world.

Originally from Brisbane, she is now based in Melbourne. She illustrates all of her work with a bespoke Montblanc pen, who she affectionately calls Monty.' (Source: Author's website and Courier-Mail 26 October 2013 : 16-17)
