BiographyHistory

Hart Beresford-Hartnoll arrived in Western Australia in 1886 or 1887. He worked initially on the Fremantle Morning Herald and then with the Weekly Times. He subsequently founded The Possum, a comic periodical, which changed its name after only a few weeks to The W. A. Bulletin.

Beresford-Hartnoll died as the result of consumption, from which he had suffered during the final months of his life.
