'With a desire to have conversations about mortality, theatre-makers Mike McEvoy and Rachael Dyson-McGregor went to meet the people who talk and think about it professionally. Those who work in churches, funeral parlours, palliative care, and even life preservation societies (cryonics). Blogs, You Tube videos and an old interview with Michael Jackson made their way into the work. The recorded interviews have been edited and layered into a non-linear, thematic story of sound and voice.
'‘I think the only thing worse than death, is the thought of wasting all your non-dead time obsessing over it’
'Wearing earpieces and performing an audio script, the actors dip in and out of characters whose words, breath, rhythm and vocal tone have been kept in tact.
'The result is a warm, humourous and moving exploration of mortality in many of its guises. Be entertained with stories of holding on, letting go, courage and wonder.' (Source La Mama website)
