Description

Creative Writing: Poetics offers you the opportunity to cultivate your understanding and appreciation of poetry; to become acquainted with a range of exciting contemporary poets; and to learn about the publishing industry. It also offers you the opportunity to develop your poetry writing skills through inspiring workshop exercises, readings and discussions led by expert poets, editors and scholars.

This course is ideal for anyone who is interested in language and how words can be used in innovative, precise, intense and musical ways: poets, prose and non-fiction writers, lyricists and poetry scholars. Having said that, it's also good for novices.
