Turia Pitt is an author, marathon runner, ambassador, and bushfire survivor. As a 24-year-old mining engineer in 2011, she entered an ultra-marathon race and was caught in a fire in the remote Kimberly region. Turia escaped with catastrophic burns to 65 per cent of her body.
Pitt has written numerous books including non-fiction Good Selfie: Tips and Tools for Teens to Nail Life. Her two autobiographies, Unmasked and Everything to Live For serve as inspiration to all readers - both have been shortlisted for the Australian Biography of the Year award.
In 2014, Pitt was nominated for Young Australian of the Year (NSW).
