BiographyHistory

Henry Harry Cooke was the Member for Forbes in the New South Wales Legislative Assembly for various periods between 1880 and 1891. He was also the proprietor of the Forbes and Parkes Gazette. Cooke moved the Gazette's offices from Parkes to Forbes when the alluvial mining claims at Parkes failed. He remained the newspaper's prprietor for many years.
