BiographyHistory

Henry Falkiner Swords 'served his apprenticeship with his father ... Mr J. W. Swords, on the Bacchus Marsh Guardian. In 1874 he founded the Dandenong Advertiser with his brother Mr. Fred. W. Swords' and together the brothers conducted the business, Swords Bros, until Henry Swords' death in 1917.

Swords was a chairman of the Board of Directors of the Victorian Country Press Association and was active in the affairs of the Dandenong district.
