  • A contemporary review notes:

'The beach scenes are particularly good, and many well-known Victorian people are unconscious extras in the production in the Portsea scenes. There is a bathing beauty parade equal to any of the Mack Sennett scenes which aroused such a storm of controversy years ago, and started so many screen stars on the high road to fame. A yacht race by members of the St. Kilda Yacht Club is shown with remarkable detail.'
