'Lord Hugh Ranleigh, who is falsely accused of the murder of a gambler in a night club, flees to Australia from his aristocratic surroundings. While in England he had met and loved Barbara Fullerton, the daughter of a wealthy Australian squatter. Some years after he meets her when he is working on the outback stations of New South Wales. Barbara's father has died, and she is managing a big station for herself. The meeting between the two lovers is dramatic in the extreme. They set to work to unravel the mystery which has overshadowed Ranleigh's life, and after many vicissitudes win their way to happiness.'
