Robert Nery is a poet, critic, video artist and filmmaker. Among his works are Black Nazarene (2003), a 90 minute video essay on Holy Week crucifixions in the Philippines. His essay 'Translation, Ethnocentrism and Cinema' appears in Australia and Asia: Cultural Transactions.
