  • A notice was placed in the Melbourne Argus on 20 May 1879 (and repeated a week later) stating that Arthur Joseph Curtis of Benalla, 'newspaper proprietor, printer, and stationer' had signed a deed assigning all his estate and property to Oliver Levey, of Melbourne, merchant, and James Howlin Graves, of Richmond, member of Parliament, in trust for realisation and otherwise' for the benefit of Curtis's creditors.
