According to the National Film and Sound Archives' holdings record, 'Mostly the plays were adaptations of contemporary Broadway or West End plays and American or British films but occasionally were Australian written.'

The Filbert Family series of 25 minute radio playlets as conceived and written by Chandra Parkes in 1934. The stories essentially revolved around the adventures of the Filbert children. The first production in the series is believed to have been 'Building a Rabbit Hutch,' which went to air on Monday evening of 5 March. The series, which later transferred to Sunday nights, was sponsored by a yet to be identified company.
