By 1976, Deben Bookshop Ltd was established in Ipswich, Suffolk, UK, as booksellers, stationers, and small-scale publishers. In 1978, when the shop at Ipswich employed about 25 people, the company became known as the Ancient House Bookshop; this company was part-owned by William Collins, but appears to have been sold by the late 1980s.
