BiographyHistory

A full-spectrum fantasy and science fiction convention, the first Marcon was held at the Holiday Inn, Toledo (Ohio) in 1966 as a planning session for the 1966 Cleveland Worldcon (TriCon). Its initial success led to it being held again the following year. The third convention saw Marcon make a permanent move to Columbus. In 1993 the convention's running was taken over by SOLAE (The Science Oriented Literature, Art, and Education Foundation).

The first international guest of honour to attend Marcon was A. Bertam Chandler (Marcon XIII in 1978)
