BiographyHistory

'It was during his high school years that Eugene Tabios was first lured by the wonder of the minutiae, discovering and eventually submitting flash fiction to Sobrang Short Stories. When he moved from the Philippines to Australia, Eugene decided to pursue a career in humanities, a stark contrast to his initial plan to be an accountant. Since then, he has dedicated himself to discovering new things, studying their intricacies, embracing their fleetingness, and putting them in writing, guided by his mantra to “observe and preserve”. He has a BA in English and Creative Writing from the University of South Australia.' (Text Special Issue 74)
