AbstractHistoryArchive Description

John Collee traces the origins of the 2024 feature film The Return from his earliest conversations with director Uberto Pasolini in 1994 to the film's production in 2023.

Collee explains Pasolini's vision that the film should be 'a simple homecoming movie' and the way in which that vision focused Collee's writing in re-telling 'the timeless human story that lies at the heart of the Homeric poem'.
