BiographyHistory

Perth-based band blending rock, reggae, country and pop, Oz Island formed at Abmusic College in Perth. In 2011, band members included Geoffrey James from Beagle Bay, Japeth James from Maningrida, Patrick Laurel from Kadjina, Kelwin Laurel from Noonkanbah and Jashwyn Shaw from Halls Creek, all of whom had participated in the Indigenous Youth Mobility Program (IYMP) delivered by Nyaarla Projects and MADALAH. The band continued with Geoffrey James, Japeth James, and the addition of Perth-based Fabian Cox.
