'Inspired by the emu invasion of Peterborough in 2018. Liam O'Connor, a once wealthy landowner, finds himself homeless and living rough in a city beachside carpark. Returning to Emu Creek he finds the pub is closed, the shops are boarded up, and the garage is closed. Facing the animosity of his family and wrath of an ex-wife, Liam draws courage to rebuild bridges and his beloved Emu Creek.'
