BiographyHistory

'An Army Nurse, Joyce Tweddell was captured after the fall of Singapore. She survived three years of brutal incarceration by the Japanese and was close to death when rescued at the end of the war. After her return to Brisbane, she became Chief Radiographer at the Royal Brisbane Hospital. '
