BiographyHistory

Dr John "Cyril" Doolah has Eastern Torres Strait Islander heritage (Meriam Le and Erubam Le). Doolah has worked in railway construction and lectured in Aboriginal studies at the Wollotuka School of Aboriginal Studies at University of Newcastle. Doolah has a Masters degree in Aboriginal studies, and completed a PhD in 2021. In 2024, Doolah was a Lecturer in Indigenous Education at University of Melbourne.
