  • Epigrah: On 13th February, 1940, Drake's Drum was taken from Buckland Abbey to Guildhall, where it was encircled triumphantly by the three hundred officers and men from H.M.S. "Exeter" and "Ajax" who were being honored for their victory over the "Graf Spee."
