'Helene Chung is an author and journalist who grew up in Hobart, Tasmania. Her work has been groundbreaking in many ways: she was the first non-white television reporter in Australia and the first woman posted abroad by the ABC. Her first book, Shouting from China, was published in 1988 and, since then, she has published three more books, the latest of which is her memoir, Ching Chong China Girl (2008).' (Introduction)
