'A.S. Partridge’s debut novel "Black Rock and White City" He won the Miles Franklin Award for his work on the survival of contemporary Melbourne’s diaspora. This article takes multiculturalism as the research perspective, focuses on the real situation, existential ambiguity and disillusionment of the Australian diaspora, explores the survival dilemma of subcultural groups under the essential thinking of multiculturalism "maintaining white social and cultural differences", and examines the novel's contribution to the Australian diaspora. The purpose of speaking out about the living conditions of Asian Americans. "Black Rocks and White Cities" is an ambiguous modern description of the survival plight of diaspora ethnic groups, which reflects the falseness and absurdity of Australia's multiculturalism and shows that its road to multicultural integration has a long way to go.'
