BiographyHistory

'Annette Dexter is a PhD-trained biochemist with a strong interest in butterflies and their three- and four-way interactions with mistletoes, host plants and ants. In recent years, she has replanted her Brisbane garden with food plants for butterfly caterpillars and begun experimenting with propagating mistletoes. She is an active member of two bushcare groups. Where time allows, she travels (generally by bicycle) to butterfly-sighting spots, hoping always to find species that are seen less often. She is on iNaturalist as afdexter.'
