'At the age of 17, Danielle Loy (a third generation Alice Springs local), left Alice for Adelaide to study law, swearing she would never return to this god forsaken place. At 22, Dani was working in Adelaide as an International Humanitarian Law Officer before travelling overseas. Whilst a far, Dani, for the first time, began to long for her home and returned to Alice Springs to work at Aboriginal Legal Aid. “The thing about people that grow up in Alice is that they need to go away to realize how beautiful it is”.
