'Carolyn has lived nearly half her life in the beautiful South-West and is happy to call it her home. Regular jaunts to other parts of the world help to keep a grounded perspective and remind her how lucky she is to be here. Having daughters with wanderlust keeps her on her toes, as some of their adventures (misadventures?) have occasionally taken her into uncharted waters as she hears about them being caught up in a coup and herded off the streets at gunpoint in Istanbul, or huddling overnight on an open hill top during the earthquakes in Lombok waiting for a possible tsunami. Coming home to the farm is so often the best point of Carolyn’s travel experiences, and she is happiest when the family is together and safe.'
