'At the time of publication Ella is an 18-year-old, aspiring disco ball, making her way through various creative scenes. She’s an accomplished spoken word poet, has won the 2018 Youth Slam, was a finalist at the 2018 WA Poetry Slam and runner-up in the 2018 Vic Park Slam. She’s been published in 2018 Poetry D’amour and has now made her theatrical debut with her script Closed Today, published in this anthology. She describes all her works as ‘a kind of love poem’ - and hopes in their nostalgia, their heartbreak, and their subtle celebration of both the mundane and the wonderful aspects of life that her readers and audiences feel her works are ‘a warm cup of tea’.'
