'Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, Stephanie’s earliest memories involve the garden. Whether playing with her sister, helping her mum raise seedlings and water or observing her grandfather grow enough fruits and veggies on their suburban Sydney lot to sustain his family as well as giving extras away to others. From an early age, gardening was a significant part of Stephanie life and taught her important life lessons. Growing and raising plants from seed to harvest taught Stephanie about caring, forward planning, and patience. As a mother of two young boys, Orlando and Leo, watching her own children grow and learn about life through the garden is a source of great satisfaction, even though they live in an apartment! Stephanie with her husband Tony are dedicated to teaching the younger generation about sustainability, the magic and mystery of gardening, where their food comes from, and what goes into growing food. Stephanie is passionate about empowering all young growers to #giveitagrow, wherever they may live and with whatever space they have available. Stephanie shares her family’s small space gardening journey on Instagram @balcony_self_sufficiency. She shares tips and tricks for growing food in small spaces, as well as her own experiences and challenges with small space gardening.' (https://www.littlesteps.com.au/contributors/stephanie-paulsen)
