BiographyHistory

Melbourne post-punk band. The band members met while teenagers in the Melbourne suburb of Springvale, eventually re-locating to St Kilda to kickstart the Little Bands scene alongside Whirlywind. Primitive Calculators disbanded in 1980 (although they released a live album shortly afterwards), and reformed briefly for Richard Lowenstein's film Dogs in Space. They re-formed in 2009, with a different line-up, and disbanded again in 2018.
