AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'It’s the year 2021, the world is in the midst of a global pandemic, and we are experiencing a new kind of silence; the streets void of activity, the echo of empty buildings, the muteness of zoom meetings. In the wake of this international crisis six women begin to speak. They share stories, they share truths, they share space.

'Throughout history silence has been weaponised, a convenient and devastating way to keep the peace. This play interweaves verbatim stories and scripted text with movement and sound to interrogate the reverberations of history’s use of silence.

'How loud is your silence?'
