'We write this editorial during the coldest Easter in Melbourne since 1943. And while our journal is agnostic – despite its current home at the Australian Catholic University – we are reminded that one of the messages of Easter is sacrifice. Which leads us to acknowledge the enormous amounts of unpaid and unrecognised labour that contributes to the production of each issue of History Australia. So we thank – upfront – the generosity of our anonymous reviewers for sacrificing their time and energy to pen reviews for their colleagues at a time of ever increasing demands and uncertainties attending academic work.'
