BiographyHistory

Music producer, songwriter, arranger, singer, and guitarist, and former member of several rock band including The Mustangs; The Strangers; Marvin, Welch & Farrar (with members of The Shadows); and The Shadows (backing band for Cliff Richards).

In 1980, he released a solo eponymous album.

As a songwriter and producer, he worked with Olivia Newton-John from 1971 to 1989 as a songwriter and producer. He was also a co-producer of the soundtrack for the film Grease (1978) and won a Tony for the soundtrack to Xanadu.
