Histories are scripted on the banks of the rivers. They flow in us. They make us move forward. Rivers hug currents of time. They play a significant part in the water cycle, acting as drainage channels for surface water. There is also great tolerance for rivers as entity. Throughout history, many people of faith have found spiritual energy on the riverside. According to Hindu belief, the seven sacred rivers are, the Ganga, Yamuna, Godavari,  Saraswati, Narmada, Sindhu and Kaveri. Water collected from these seven sacred rivers is put in the  pot, which is used during ritualistic worship. ‘Water from the seven sacred rivers has the ability to attract and transmit the  aura of seven superior deities. We believe or not, rivers are our mother( for some, father).'
