BiographyHistory

Australian punk rock band, formed in Sydney by Deniz Tek and Rob Younger, two medical students at The University of New South Wales who lived in a sharehouse in Kensington. Although they broke up in 1978, after an ill-fated move to the U.K. in late 1977. Radio Birdman were instrumental in the development of Australian music in the 1970s and highly influential on following bands.

Radio Birdman were the subject of the documentary Descent into the Maelstrom.
