BiographyHistory

Beasts of Bourbon were an Australian blues rock band formed in August 1983, with members from banks including The Hoodoo Gurus, The Scientists, The Johnnys, and Dum Dums. They formed while Spencer P. Jones and Tex Perkins were sharing a flat in Darlinghurst, Sydney. Their first show was in Surry Hills, Sydney.

Except for Spencer P. Jones and Tex Perkins, the group reformed several times. The band paused in 1985, reunited in 1988, and largely dissolved by 1997. They reunited for an album in 2007, and another album (released as The Beasts) in 2019.
