BiographyHistory

'Kirk Dodd is an emerging scholar of Shakespeare, Rhetoric and Creative Process(es) and a lecturer at the University of Sydney in the discipline of English, where he teaches Rhetoric and Writing and Creative Writing. He has published articles on the rhetoric of Shakespeare and Henry Fielding and is developing a paper concerned with authorship attribution in Shakespeare Studies. His first Shakespearean blank verse drama, The Tragicall Historie of Woollarawarre Bennelong, was shortlisted for the prestigious Griffin Award (2018) and is published by Australian Plays. His second blank verse drama, The Tragicall Historie of Agamemnon, was funded by Create NSW and was a semi-finalist for the Shakespeare’s New Contemporaries award at the American Shakespeare Center (2021).'
