BiographyHistory

'Ruth Jackson is an Honorary Research Fellow at Deakin University. She was chief investigator of the AusAID (now Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade) Australian Development Research Award Scheme project “Improving the use of maternal, neonatal and child health services in rural and pastoralist Ethiopia”. She contributed to and co-edited Women Researching in Africa: The Impact of Gender (2018). Her other research interests include the intersection between women who live near the Kafa Biosphere Reserve in southwest Ethiopia and food production for one of the Ethiopian Orthodox feasts.'
