AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'In the lively exhibition The Rest Is Up to You: Melbourne Fringe 1982-2062, a cacophony of voices across cabaret, circus, dance, comedy, theatre and beyond examine the festival’s 40-year history and speculate on the four decades to come. Co-curated by the festival and State Library Victoria, the hot pink walls, protest-style banners, punishingly loud audio and displays of ephemera – programs, photos, hand-copied promotional flyers – cohere into a surprisingly unified statement of intent.'(Introduction)
