BiographyHistory

'Karen is a National Award winning journalist who worked in the Melbourne media for 28 years. Karen began her journalism career at Radio 3AW, before joining Channel 10. Most recently Karen spent 13 years as the 7 Network’s multiple award winning Health Reporter. During this time, Karen developed particularly strong insights into the Health System, pharmaceutical companies and the Victorian Government Health Sector. 

'Karen won the National Luminous Award for Excellence in Oncology reporting three times, in 2006, 2011 and 2014. Karen was the winner of the 2013 Australia and New Zealand Mental Health Media Award and received a High Commendation in the Victorian Quill Awards in 2011.

'Karen’s love of story telling has developed over three decades, and now includes being an author. Her first non-fiction book is a biography of a man living with cerebral palsy, the title is “If I can, you can”. Karen has excellent communication, writing and media skills that will assist in all aspects of business and corporate relationships.  

'Karen lives in country Victoria and is committed to working within the Kyneton Community where she is on the Board of Management at the Kyneton Hospital, a Board member at the Kyneton and Hanging Rock Race Club and she is the President of the Kyneton Football Netball Club, the Club’s first female President in 150 years.'
