BiographyHistory

'Katy Maudlin is an award-winning director with a focus on new writing and feminist dramaturgies. She completed her doctorate at Deakin University, where she was awarded a Postgraduate Research Scholarship. Her research examined the impact that mothering has on the creative practice of women theatre directors. In 2021, she won the Veronica Kelly Prize for best post-graduate paper presented at the ADSA Conference. As a director, Katy has worked extensively across Australia, New Zealand and Europe. She has been the recipient of the Melbourne Global Scholars Award (2016) and the Orloff Family Trust Scholarship (2015).' (Australasian Drama Studies 80)
