AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'An ethereal garden tucked away in the city is a-flutter with Fae. But within the whimsy and the glamour spells, you’ll find a truth.

'Stone Motherless Cold (Arrernte) captures the similarities between the origins of fairies and early colonial writings on Blak peoples in this tale of displacement. Where is the space for queer Blak people? Is it only in these isolated gardens?

'Part of the Motherless Collective, Stone Motherless Cold frolics amongst us as a 2019 Vic NAIDOC LGBTQIA+ winner. They might be a crystalline posing as human, but this Arrernte gem is a master of performance art, dance, spoken word and visual art.'
