'Imagine if your skin colour changed according to your political beliefs, or your social class"-- Back cover. "On a supposedly flat Earth most people live within two large bubbles, which are effectively worlds in their own right. Bubble Perfect encompasses a huge area that encloses everything from tropical forest to alpine pasture and the provincial capital of Banyan. People living within this bubble can be subject to chameleon-like changes where skin colour reflects their political views and depth of commitment. A similar phenomenon occurs with the people of Bubble Paradise where the bubble walls enclose a single, large city. But here skin colour denotes social class. The middle-class public servants have purple skin, the upper class bi-face elite, blue and purple. The two bubble communities trade with each other though this, along with much else, is kept an official secret. The story centres around three members of the Snugs family and their soon-to-be family friend, Joshua Jericho. The arrest of Arthur Snugs and his wife, Rosebud, sets in motion a whole series of events that impact other members of the family including sisters Isabella, blue-skinned, and green Helga. This is a tale of family loyalties, discovery, intrigues and dangerous conspiracies in high and low places. Here is a satirical parody, a reflection of today's world." -- Back cover.'
