The ELEVATE initiative aims to develop the careers of First Nations writers, editors, illustrators and arts workers in the literature sector.

recipient Brooke Scobie to work towards he first full-length novel, allowing the time and space to develop and refine her craft.
recipient Kirli Saunders to work closely with Bundjalung editor, Grace Lucas Pennington, Nimunburr and Yawuru Publisher Rachel Bin Salleh and the Magabala Books team to develop her collection of poetry.
recipient Lenora Thaker to attend the Blak & Bright First Nations Literary Festival in Melbourne to build important networks and develop her skills as a fictional genre writer.
