'WHEN Jaru playwright Kodie Bedford was named as the 2018 Balnaves Foundation Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Fellowship winner. she was thrilled. "I didn't believe it at first because this award has gone out to some of the best venters in the country." Ms Bedford said "During the application process I had to pitch an idea for a play I wanted to write. but the experience at Be'you. wasn't Just about writing the play and the amazing end product.'
