BiographyHistory

'Samad Abdul was a facilitator and administrator for Writing Through Fences project whilst detained in Australia’s immigration prison on Manus Island. His work has been published by Australia’s Independent Media Network and Writing Through Fences. For the last two years he has been in Port Moresby, where he is still not free. He loves cricket and dreamt of being a professional cricketer but his dreams have been squashed by politicians and he is used as a political prisoner. Although his seven years will not come back, he now wants to be a social worker to help those who are in pain.'
