BiographyHistory

'Arad Nik is a writer, commentator and accomplished performance poet seeking asylum in Australia. He has written about Ahwazi Arabic people with the aim of connecting cultures through story and is currently working on a collection of short stories about his Australian experience. He recited his poetry in Farsi in the spoken word performance 22 Pillars for the Fremantle Festival and performed for Renee Newman’s Seeking Basic Needs and Other Tales of Excess during the Fringe World Festival in Perth. He has also participated in festivals, events and exhibitions in Victoria.' (Southerly 79.2)
