Tom Masefield, suspended from police duty on charges of corruption and at odds with his fiancee Tessa, returns to his flat to find a stranger who offers him £10,000 for a week's work. He finds himself in the grip of a desperate gang planning a daring bank heist, and who are not afraid to use Tessa as leverage.
