BiographyHistory

'Andrew Archer is an Australian writer, musician and the creator of the English language manga The Tokyo 5. Before releasing his first book in 2016, Andrew spent more than a decade as a music author, copy writer and rapper, releasing a number of albums and singles under the names Syntax and alongside the Triple J Unearthed award winning group Deathstarrs. Inspired by classic anime and manga like Akira, Project A-Ko and Neon Genesis Evangelion, Andrew’s work is a mash of robots, dark humor and neon lighting. He currently lives in Queensland, Australia surrounded by empty pizza boxes, broken controllers and a mountain of Wu-Tang CDs.' (Simon and Schuster website)
