BiographyHistory

Mehreen Faruqi was the first Muslim woman in any Australian parliament, the one hundredth woman in the Senate. She has served on the Greens party since 2018.

Faruqi migrated from Pakistan to Sydney in 1992.

Her autobiography, titled Too Migrant, Too Muslim, Too Loud, was released in 2021.
