'Andrea de Kauwe completed a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science at Melbourne Uni. She went on to complete her doctorate in Immunology but found that it was the writing, rather than the actual science, that she always came back to. Inspired by lectures from Tony Birch and Chris Wallace-Crabbe, poetry has been the form of written expression that has given Andrea the most pleasure. Andrea now lives in Apollo Bay and is one of the key organisers of Apollo Bay WordFest.' (Cordite 100)
